We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this extremely RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic SIMPSONS second seasonepisode "Bart Vs. Thanksgiving" (1990).
RARELY are there any scenes which have the entire Simpsons family together with their two pets, this is truly a collector's dream piece!
The classic ending of the episode, in which Homer leads the family in prayer, blessing the meal for Bart's reunion, as they enjoy a late-night Thanksgiving feast of turkey sandwiches and displaying the thankful spirit that was absent from the earlier debacle. Homer: "Oh Lord, on this blessed day, we thank Thee for giving our family one more crack at togetherness" All: “Amen!”
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen around the 22:00 mark. Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa, Maggie, Santa’s Little Helper and Snowball II are all hand-painted onto separate cels and placed against the matching scene print background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
