We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic fifth season episode "Homer Loves Flanders" (1994).

The Flanders family and the Simpsons go on a road trip to Lake Springfield. Ned backs the boat trailer into the lake while Homer guides him in (whilst eating an ice-cream). Homer calls for the boat's release long before it's close to the water, and Ned’s boat scrapes jarringly along the concrete ramp.  Homer: "Okay, let's go boating!" he calls. Ned: (groans) "Oh Lord, please give me the strength to endure Homer Simpson's friendship?"

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen around the 13:59 mark. Ned, Homer and the entire car are hand-painted onto four separate cels, and placed against the matching scene print background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Homer Loves Flanders" is the sixteenth episode of the fifth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on March 17th, 1994. In the episode, Ned Flanders invites Homer to a football game and the two become good friends. However, Ned soon grows weary of Homer's overbearing friendship and stupid antics, and actually begins to hate him.
