We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic third season episode "Homer at the Bat" (1992).

This scene features Monty Burns, as the softball team manager, wearing an old-style uniform with "Zephyrs'' on the front. When the game is tied, with the bases loaded, Burns sends Homer to the plate, and reviews the signals with Homer. Burns: "All right, Simpson. Let's go over the signals. If I tug the bill of my cap like so… It means the signal is a fake!” Homer: "Uh-huh” Burns: "However, I can take that off by dusting my hands thusly” Homer: "Got it!” Burns: "If I want you to bunt, I'll touch my belt buckle... not once, not twice, but thrice" Homer (thinking) Uh Oh! I don't understand a word he's saying. Why doesn't he just let me bat?

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 20:28 mark. Monty Burns is hand-painted onto a single cel, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
