We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel of a Title Card, from the classic fifth season episode "Deep Space Homer" (1994).

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 11:48 mark. This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and comes from the collection of Simpsons director, Mark Kirkland. The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Deep Space Homer" is the fifteenth episode of The Simpsons' fifth season and first aired on February 24th, 1994. 
In the Itchy & Scratchy Show episode, Spaceman Scratchy is cruising in his spaceship, and eats a sandwich. Itchy pops out of his stomach, eats the sandwich Scratchy ate, tosses him into the airlock, and hits the "Blow Hatch" button. Scratchy quickly dons his spacesuit, finishing just in the nick of time before the hatch opens and blows him out into space. Itchy then emerges from the ship in a space pod (like that of 2001: A Space Odyssey), grabs Scratchy with the pod's arms, and cuts him in half using Saturn's rings, which act like the blade on a circular saw. Scratchy's lower half falls toward the planet and burns up in the atmosphere, while his upper half floats free.
Itchy catches up to Scratchy's upper half and removes Scratchy's space helmet, causing his head to swell up in the vacuum of space. Itchy then punctures Scratchy's inflated head with a pin, causing blood to splatter everything in the scene and form the words "THE END" on the screen.
