The Ren and Stimpy Show “Big House Blues" Production Cel Setup (1991).

This memorable image is from the episode “BIG HOUSE BLUES” and features in the opening titles sequence for every episode. Inside the pound, Ren finds out what the big sleep is, and begins to panic, screaming out "THE BIG SLEEP!!!" three times. Stimpy asks Ren
what the big sleep is. Ren calms down, then yells at him that he's dead and they'll be next if they don't get out. Later, Stimpy vomits hairballs on Ren, which leads to him smacking Stimpy multiple times.

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted cel setup which was filmed and used in the making of this episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen. The artwork measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide. The cel has the three-peg punch holes, and has the Nickelodeon gold seal (lower corner). Signed by John Kricfalusi.

The cel is placed against the matching scene background and accompanied with the original Nickelodeon certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

Episode Synopsis:
"Big House Blues" is the first season PILOT episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show that originally aired on September 15th, 1991, and was the seventh broadcast episode in the series. In the eight-minute pilot, Ren Hoek, a short-tempered chihuahua and Stimpy, a tailless
dim-witted cat gets caught by the dogcatcher and are sent to the pound where they meet Jasper and briefly Phil until he must take "The Big Sleep". Ren initially doesn't understand, but after Jasper explains this to Ren, their lives seem to be on a thin thread until a sweet girl adopts them both.
