Mister Magoo was voiced by the great Jim Backus, and has been around since his very first cartoon, which was the theatrical short titled “The Ragtime Bear” released in 1949.
This rare UPA Studio character model sheet cel features Quincy Magoo, an extremely nearsighted older man whose vision often got him and others into trouble. This 12 field studio cel is hand-inked and hand-painted, featuring Magoo in a few classic poses. The animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes, and is in very good condition.
This studio cel is also accompanied with the original UPA studio matt it was housed in for decades, and is from the Pete Alvarado estate.
Pete Alvarado (1920-2003) was an American animation and comic book artist. Alvarado's animation career spanned almost 60 years.
