Titled 'Showtime', the cel is placed against a stunning lithograph background designed by Tim Hildebrandt, and both artists have signed the artwork in silver pen.
This beautiful hand-painted cel features Betty Boop, with her pals, Ko-ko the clown, Bimbo and Pudgy. It is a RARE Hors Commerce edition numbered 37 of 40 pieces in the world. The image area measures 23.5" by 11.5" inches.
If you look closely at the characters in silhouette sitting in the audience, you will see from left to right: Dagwood, Blondie, Little King, Beatle Bailey, Hagar the Horrible and Dennis the Menace.
The cel has the official studio seal (lower right corner) and is accompanied with a letter of authenticity.
