We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this outstanding original production drawing featuring a large army of French soldiers led by Wiggum and Lou, from the classic thirteenth season episode "Tales from the Public Domain" (2002).
Joan of Arc (Lisa) gets told by God to lead the French to victory. So she leads the French against the English in the Hundred Years' War. While the French Army (led by Chief Wiggum, Eddie, and Lou) are reluctant to follow her at first, they eventually take her advice and are victorious.
This is an original 12 field 3-peghole animation drawing, rendered in graphite and coloured pencil. The paper bears a gold Fox seal in the lower corner and is accompanied with a studio-issued COA.
We have provided a screenshot of the scene to show how the drawing was used in the making of this episode, which appears on screen around the 11:45 mark.
PLEASE NOTE:
This screenshot shown is for reference ONLY, and the drawing is NOT accompanied with any full size colour print out.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Tales from the Public Domain" is the fourteenth episode of the thirteenth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on March 17th, 2002. It is the third trilogy episode of the series, which had become annual since the twelfth season's "Simpsons Tall Tales", consisting of three self-contained segments that are based on historical stories. The first segment puts Homer Simpson in the role of Odysseus in the ancient Greek epic poem the Odyssey. The second segment tells the story of Joan of Arc, and the third and final segment lampoons William Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet.
