We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel sequential from the opening titles of the classic eighth season episode "Treehouse of Horror VII" (1996).
This SENSATIONAL two cel sequential setup is from the episode’s opening sequence. It's Halloween night, and Homer proceeds to light a jack-o'-lantern. The pumpkin ignites instantly, and the fire spreads to Homer's hand, then to his entire body. He runs back and forth, screaming, as "The Simpsons Halloween Special VII" appears on-screen.
These are one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cels (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Homer is hand-painted onto a single cel and placed against a copy of the matching scene background and appears on screen at the 0:05 mark. The spooky episode lettering is hand-painted onto a single cel and placed against a copy of the matching scene background and appears on screen at the 0:08 mark.
This 12 field cels measure 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
