Comic Mint is your best source for 100% genuine Simpsons Animation Artwork licensed by Twentieth Century Fox.
We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic second season episode "Three Men and a Comic Book" (1991).
This sensational scene is set inside Bart’s treehouse at night, as a fight breaks out between Bart, Mulhouse and Martin, as the three become suspicious over the other over the precious Radioactive Man comic book. Marge interrupts the fight with a tray of milk and cookies.
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 18:48 mark. The character is hand-painted onto a single cel, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background. The cel has been hand-signed by legendary Simpsons director, Wes Archer, one of the original three animators (along with David Silverman and Bill Kopp) on the Tracey Ullman shorts, and subsequently directed a number of The Simpsons episodes (many of which had John Swartzwelder as an episode writer) before becoming supervising director at King of the Hill.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
