We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic ninth season episode # "The Cartridge Family" (1997).

Sensational multi-character scene featuring the start of a soccer riot !!!!

At a Mexico versus Portugal soccer game at Springfield Stadium, the crowd becomes restless, after watching a long period of boring passages of play. As Sideshow Mel announces that he can't bear this any longer, and that he's leaving, Moe responds: "Yeah, not before me you ain’t!"
Flanders: "Now, now, there's plenty of exits for everyone!"
Moe: "Oh, that's it, you're dead, pal!" (puts Flanders into a headlock)
Skinner: "Hey, now, that's uncalled for"
Lenny: "Shut your hole, Skinner!" And so begins the start of a traditional soccer riot, with Lenny punching Principal Skinner in the stomach, knocking him into the aisle stairway.
He collides with Barney's beer tray, spilling it. Barney, enraged, runs headfirst into the increasingly large number of people fighting on the stairs, bowling them over, and it's not long before the entire stadium is embroiled in a voilent riot!

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted piece that was filmed under the camera, and used in the making of this Simpsons episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork!

The animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied by the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

"The Cartridge Family" is the fifth episode of The Simpsons' ninth season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on November 2nd, 1997.
In the episode, Homer purchases a gun to protect his family, of which Marge disapproves. Homer begins to show extremely careless gun usage causing Marge to leave him when she catches Bart using the gun without their permission. The episode was intended to show guns in a neutral way, and faced some problems with the censors because of the subject matter. Critical reaction was mostly positive.
