We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic season six episode # "Round Springfield" (1995).

Lisa returns to KJAZZ with her jazz album, and the DJ puts it on a turntable and hands her a radio. "Here, you can listen to it on this," he says, but as she walks away from the station, all she picks up is static.
She sighs heavily, "I did the best I could, Bleeding Gums." Just then, a large cloud appears over the radio tower and lightning strikes it. Suddenly, the signal comes in clearly for Lisa,  by the jazz transmission.  Wiggum approves until he passes out from a cloud of poison gas.
Lisa: "That was for you, Bleeding Gums”
Bleeding Gums: (appearing in the cloud) "You've made an old jazzman happy, Lisa"
Lisa: "I don't want you to go!”  Bleeding Gums: "Sorry, but I have to. Goodbye”
Lisa: (sobbing) "Goodbye…” (Bleeding Gums disappears, then reappears)
Bleeding Gums: "Oh, what the heck: once more from the top!”
Lisa: “Yay!” (Lisa sings the JAZZMAN) "When the Jazzman's testifyin' a faithless man believes. He can sing you into paradise, or bring you to your knees. Jazzman! Oh, Jazzman!"

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork! The characters are hand-painted onto separate cels, and placed against a copy made from the original matching scene background.

This 12 field animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and has the three-peg punch holes. The cel bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

"'Round Springfield" is the 22nd episode of The Simpsons' sixth season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on April 30th, 1995.
In the episode, Bart is rushed to the hospital after eating a jagged metal Krusty-O and decides to sue Krusty the Clown. Whilst visiting Bart, Lisa meets her old mentor, jazz musician Bleeding Gums Murphy. She is saddened when she later learns that Murphy has died, and resolves to honor his memory. Steve Allen (as himself) and Ron Taylor (as Bleeding Gums Murphy) guest star, each in their second appearance on the show. Dan Higgins also returns as the writer and performer of all of Lisa and Bleeding Gums' saxophone solos.
