We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic third season episode "Radio Bart" (1992).
"Cat Splat Fever" is an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show. Scratchy discovers a suicide note from Itchy then sees Itchy jumping into a well. Scratchy jumps into the well after Itchy to save him. But it's a trick: Itchy has landed safely on a protruding brick just below the rim of the well. Itchy smiles and waves at Scratchy as he passes by and Scratchy falls to the bottom of the well where a waiting alligator devours him. The well's water turns red with blood and Scratchy's angel rises toward the top of the well but just as he passes Itchy Itchy draws a gun and shoots him. Scratchy's angel then falls back into the well. After the cartoon ends the final frame says "Dedicated to Timmy O'Toole.”
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 14:07 mark. The characters are hand-painted onto seperate cels, and placed against a plain coloured background print.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

In the episode, Bart receives a microphone that transmits sound to nearby AM radios. To play a prank on the citizens of Springfield, he lowers a radio down a well and uses the microphone to trick the town into thinking a little boy is trapped there.
