We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic eighth season episode "Homer's Enemy" (1997). 

In order to win over Frank Grimes, the family gets some last-minute coaching from Homer. Everyone is asked to be perfect… Lisa, Marge, Bart, and the "other kid." Marge worries that she'll have enough lobsters handy in the event Grimes brings a friend. There shouldn’t be a problem, her husband assures, since he made up an excuse to bring Grimes to the Simpson house. The doorbell rings. Marge calms Homer down, and he answers the door. Grimes has arrived right on cue.
Homer: "Welcome to the Simpson residence or "casa de Simpson," as I call it!"

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 10:55 mark. Homer is hand-painted onto a single cel, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, cel setup measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Homer's Enemy" is the twenty-third episode in the eighth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It was first broadcast on the Fox network in the United States on May 4th, 1997.
The episode's plot centers on the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's hiring a new employee named Frank Grimes. Despite Homer's attempts to befriend him, Grimes is angered and irritated by Homer's laziness and incompetence despite leading a comfortable life. He eventually declares himself Homer's enemy. Meanwhile, Bart buys a run-down factory for a dollar.
