Comic Mint is your best source for 100% genuine Simpsons Animation Artwork licensed by Twentieth Century Fox.
We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic second season episode "Blood Feud" (1991).

This famous Simpsons scene appears at the end of the episode after Burns delivers a large crate to the Simpsons residence, which houses a giant 3000-year-old Olmec carved head. The family eat dinner on TV dinner trays, watching the giant head do nothing. Homer: "Save a guy's life, and what do you get? Nothing! Worse than nothing! Just a big scary rock!" Bart: "Hey, man, don't bad-mouth the head"
Marge: "Homer, it's the thought that counts. The moral of the story is a good deed is its own reward".

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen from the 21:16 mark.
Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge, Maggie and Snowball II are hand-painted onto six separate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, 2 cel setup measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Blood Feud" is the twenty-second and final episode of the second season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on Fox in the United States on July 11th, 1991. In this episode, Mr. Burns falls ill and desperately needs a blood transfusion. Homer discovers Bart has Burns' rare blood type and urges him to donate, thinking the Simpsons will be handsomely rewarded. After receiving the blood transfusion, Burns sends them a thank-you card with no money. Marge convinces Homer not to send an insulting reply to his boss, but when Bart mails the letter anyway, Burns is livid. He later forgives Homer and sends the Simpsons a giant Olmec carving to show his gratitude, which is present in the Simpsons' residence's basement for the remainder of the series.
