Comic Mint is your best source for 100% genuine Simpsons Animation Artwork licensed by Twentieth Century Fox.
We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic sixth season episode "Bart’s Comet" (1995). This is one of the BEST setups from the classic ending of this episode, and has been in a private collection since being purchased at a SIMPSONS exhibition featuring JIM REARDON in 1997.

Tremendous multi-character setup from the final scene in this episode. As the comet approaches Springfield, the townspeople, arm in arm, sing "Que Será, Será (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)", a song originally recorded by Doris Day for Alfred Hitchcock's 1956 film The Man Who Knew Too Much".

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 20:30 mark. All of the characters are hand-painted onto two seperate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Bart's Comet" is the fourteenth episode of the sixth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on Fox in the United States on February 5th, 1995. In the episode, Bart Simpson accidentally discovers a comet, which is heading towards Springfield. The show's writing staff saw an issue of Time magazine that presented the threat of comets hitting Earth on its cover, and so decided to create an episode in a similar vein.
