The Ren and Stimpy Show “Ren's Retirement” Production Background (1994).

We are pleased to offer Ren & Stimpy fans this RARE original hand painted "FREEZE" shot of Ren, with his birthday cake. This background was filmed and used in the Season Three episode directed by by Jim Gomez, Ron Hauge and Bill Wray. 

This is a one-of-a-kind piece! Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen from the 04:09 mark.

The background artwork is hand painted in gouache on board, and measures 10.5 inches by 13 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes. There is a clear cel overlay which bears the Nickelodeon gold seal (lower corner).

The artwork is accompanied by the original Nickelodeon certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

"Ren's Retirement" is a season three episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show that originally aired on April 2nd, 1994 and was the 42nd episode in the series. 
Strong, energetic, Ren's tenth birthday comes around. However, when Stimpy reminds him he's 70 in dog years, Ren becomes a crazy old coot.
