"This Is America, Charlie Brown" is an eight-part animated television miniseries, depicting events in American history with characters from the Charles M. Schulz comic strip Peanuts. It aired from 1988 to 1989 on CBS.

This wonderful cel set-up features a funny scene with Schroeder tipping Lucy off from his piano!, This art is featured in scene 094 from this animated television special. Each animation cel has been fashioned in the finest tradition of the studio to preserve this classic film moment. Hand -painted cel(s) transferred from an animator's drawing are uniquely one-of-a-kind. The animation art used in this production bears the Peanuts Film Gallery seals of authenticity establishing it as such.

This beautiful artwork was created at the studio of Bill Melendez, in association with Lee Mendelson Film Productions, and the creator of PEANUTS, Charles M. Schulz. Each hand painted cel is applied with a reproduction background, and comes with the original set of production drawings. The artwork measures 12.5" x 10.5" inches (unframed), and is accompanied with the studio certificate of authenticity.

STORYLINE:
"This Is America, Charlie Brown" is an eight-part animated television miniseries, depicting events in American history with the characters from the Charles M. Schulz comic strip Peanuts. It aired from 1988 to 1989 on CBS. The eighth episode titled "The Music and Heroes of America", centers around a school pageant where Schroeder attempts to present a history of great American music and composers, ranging from traditional ragtime to early rock 'n' roll. However, Lucy van Pelt interrupts his plans because she wants to present a report on famous American heroes and trailblazing historical figures. Under their teacher's orders, the two characters are forced to compromise and merge their competing projects into a single joint presentation!
