We are pleased to offer PEANUTS fans this unique piece of animation art entitled: "Snoopy's Happy Dance".

From the much loved PEANUTS TV Special 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' (1965) Schroeder's piano recital gets interrupted by Snoopy as Lucy watches in frustration in this beautiful hand-painted and hand-inked limited edition cel.

This Hand Painted Limited Edition Cel was created by the late Bill Melendez and the artists at his studio. Each hand inked limited edition cel is hand painted with a reproduction background. A Melendez limited edition is individually numbered, bears the Peanuts Film Gallery seal of authenticity and features the signature of Bill Melendez.

This piece was produced in an edition size of 150 pieces (worldwide) and is very hard to find. The diptych artwork measures 24" x 9.5" inches (unframed).

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" is an animated television special based on the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. Produced by Lee Mendelson and directed by Bill Melendez, the program made its debut on CBS on December 9th, 1965. In the special, lead character Charlie Brown finds himself depressed despite the onset of the cheerful holiday season. Lucy suggests he direct a school Christmas play, but he is both ignored and mocked by his peers. The story touches on the over-commercialization and secularism of Christmas, and serves to remind viewers of the true meaning of Christmas (the birth of Jesus Christ).
