Comic Mint is pleased to offer Hanna-Barbera fans this rare bumper/publicity cel of HANNA-BARBERA'S classic TV series, “Touche Turtle and Dum Dum" featuring our two swashbuckling heroes. Created in 1996 at HANNA-BARBERA as part of a marketing/publicity/Consumer Products project. The characters are hand painted on the cel, ands placed against a Touche Turtle background print.
Created in the 1990's at the HANNA-BARBERA STUDIO in Hollywood, California, as part of their marketing/publicity/consumer products projects. Slides and transparencies are created from the art and sent to magazines and newspapers to gather interest in a series. Photos are also sent to fans who write into the studio requesting a photo.
Touché Turtle and his dim-witted sheepdog sidekick Dum Dum are a pair of heroic fencers who battle villains and heroically save kings, queens, and others in distress. Touché is the brave (if not entirely competent) leader brandishing his trusty sword and exclaiming his catchphrase "Touché away!” He wears a plumed musketeer-type hat. Dum Dum is more of a simple-minded follower in a smaller plumed hat and a scarf.
Touché Turtle and Dum Dum is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions that originally aired as one of the three segments on the anthology show The New Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Series from September 3, 1962, to August 26, 1963.
