Hanna-Barbera produced 22 new Space Ghost episodes in 1981 for the hour-long Saturday morning anthology series Space Stars, which premiered on NBC on September 12th, 1981, alongside new adventures for The Herculoids, Teen Force, and Astro and the Space Mutts.
Created by the acclaimed artist Alex Toth, Space Ghost was a sci-fi animated action series that premiered on 9/10/66 and lasted for 42 thrilling episodes. The series was then revived for the Saturday morning animated program block ‘Space Stars’, airing from 1981 to 1982. Space Ghost is hand-painted onto a single cel, and placed against a print background for presentation, and is accompanied with the matching pencil drawing. Both pieces are signed by legendary animation director, BOB SINGER. The artwork is in excellent condition, measuring 12.5" X 10.5" inches, and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
Cels such as these are EXTREMELY RARE as most were destroyed by the studio, so finding a production setup such as this is virtually impossible!
