Comic Mint is pleased to offer MICKEY MOUSE fans this RARE and sold-out piece of Disney history. 

This original hand-painted animation cel painting of Mickey Mouse was created by "artists of The Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department" in "a general edition of 250 cels numbered 1/250 to 250/250. The cel depicts "Mickey Mouse as a marching drum major surrounded by confetti and hats that are tossed into the air" as seen in "sequence 2, scene 159 from the rousing opening" of The Mickey Mouse Club (1955-58). 

It was created during Disney's "Ink & Paint Tour" of select galleries and Disney retail locations in 2000. This cel painting is numbered "5/250" and signed by Disney animator and Imagineer Bill Justice in the lower left. 
The Disney studio seal appears in the lower right. Bill Justice was responsible for much of the animation of the opening sequence of Walt Disney's great television show.

The original animation drawings were transferred to acetate cels by a special six-step xerographic process. Artists of The Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department then enhanced the cels with a hand-inked line and then hand painted each of the cels in the edition with 13 Disney-approved acrylic colors." Disney artists created the background scene accompanying the cel, and it was lithographically printed on premium-quality, acid-free paper. 

The cel measures 14.5" x 14" inches, with the image size measuring 12" x 12" inches set over a 15.25" x 14.75" background print. The artwork is in near mint condition and comes with the original Disney Studio Certificate of Authenticity.
