Comic Mint is pleased to offer CARL BARKS fans, as well as collectors of fine art, this RARE set of Fine Art Lithographs which were produced to commemorate Carl Barks 95th Birthday, on March 27th, 1996. The first piece features Mickey and Horace Horsecollar in a Stagecoach and the second shows Mickey, Minnie, Horace and Clarabelle Cow being held up outside their stagecoach.

These lithographs reproduce Carl Barks' first work that he submitted to the Disney Art Dept in 1935 as a sample of his drawing ability, THESE were the drawings that got Barks hired by Disney.
The second lithograph is hand signed by Carl Barks and measures 11" x 14" inches, and is printed on printed on archival quality, acid-free paper. The lithograph is hand-numbered 25 out of a worldwide edition of just 120 pieces. This piece is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity issued by the Museum Of Cartoon Art.

These lithographs were taken out of their envelopes just for these pictures. Quite a find for you Carl Barks fans and collectors. I dont think you will ever see many of these put up for sale at any price, especially in this condition.

Carl Barks was the genius behind the creation of Scrooge McDuck, the world's richest duck, and the man who drew the comic book adventures of Donald Duck and his family back in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, has had a long and distinguished career as a world-class artist and cartoonist. Following his retirement in 1974, Mr. Barks began to render a series of oil paintings featuring the Disney ducks. There have now been well over 100 of these paintings, which have also been made available as limited edition lithographs, and are exhibited and sold in galleries worldwide.
Carl Barks died in 2000 at the age of 99.
