Vintage Bronco Layne Annual Original Cover Art by Walt Howarth (World Distributors, 1963).

This is an absolutely STUNNING, and very large piece of artwork, complete with the actual published annual itself. One of Walt Howarth's finest pieces, featuring Ty Hardin as Bronco Layne.
This is definitely a rare opportunity to own an original piece of artwork by the absolute master of comic and annual art Walt Howarth (sadly passed away in 2008).

This is the artwork for the front cover of the Bronco Layne annual, published in 1962 (for the following 1963 year) by World Distributors of Manchester, England.
The artwork measures approximately 22" inches by 16" inches, and is painted on stiff art board, and in AMAZING unmarked condition, with beautifully vivid colours.

Please note that the artwork is not signed, as Walt did not sign a lot of his work, which is well documented, plus anyone who knows Walt's work will recognize this instantly as a Walt Howarth original.
You also get the actual annual shown in the photos below, which is in very nice clean condition, full spine, not price clipped, no inscriptions, nice clean pages. You certainly don't see artwork like this come up for sale very often.

Walt Howarth (1938 - 2008)
Walt Howarth was based in Bolton, England, producing superior cover art across a huge range of publications for over fifty years.
After graduating from the Bolton College of Art in the late 1940's, he was employed by 'Industrial Art Services of manchester'. WDL Publications were starting to produce TV and Film related comics and annuals and needed an artist who could produce good likenesses. Walt Howarth was immediately employed. His first cover was for John Wayne Comic n. 5. Over the years Walt Howarth painted covers for hundreds of annuals and comics from the early 'Maverick' and 'Cheyenne' to much later series like the 'A-Team' and 'Dempsey and Makepeace'.
As well as annuals and comics, Walt Howarth also painted hundreds of illustrations for jigsaw puzzles and other games, such as Dr. Who, Rupert Bear and other TV and Film characters.
