Comic Mint, your best source for rare, kooky, and classic animation art, is pleased to offer fans of the classic Lucy Show this retro image from the season one opening credits animation sequence. The sequence was originally animated by Howard Anderson Jr in 1962.
The classic stylized stick-figures of Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance dance and move across the screen in glorious black-and-white. The characters carry a large ladder onto the screen, prop the ladder up, climb it, and physically manipulate and arrange the large, block letters to spell out "THE LUCY SHOW".
The characters of LUCILLE BALL and VIVIAN VANCE have been hand-inked on the front side of this 12-field animation cel and hand painted on the reverse side in the same manner as the original cartoon was created back in 1962.. The artwork is in excellent condition.
The Lucy Show is a classic American sitcom that aired on CBS from 1962 to 1968. It was Lucille Ball's follow-up to I Love Lucy. Lucille Ball starred as Lucy Carmichael, a widow with two children living in the fictional town of Danfield, New York. Vivian Vance co-starred as her divorced friend and housemate, Vivian Bagley, who lived there with her son, Sherman.
