Comic Mint, is pleased to offer Star Trek fans this vintage hand painted production cel setup from the animated series "Star Trek: The Animated Series” (1973-74).
There may be no character from Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek franchise more iconic and beloved than the USS Enterprise's science officer Spock. This is a hand-painted original production cel setup from the lauded Star Trek: The Animated Series featuring the fan-favorite Vulcan. Spock. Spock was famously voiced by Leonard Nimoy, reprising his role from the original series. This 12 field setup has a painted image area of 7.25" x 7.5", and it is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes.
Star Trek: The Animated Series, produced by Filmation (known for shows like He-Man), brought the Enterprise crew to Saturday mornings (1973-74), allowing for imaginative sci-fi with animation, and maintaining the original cast voices (except Koenig). Set in the 23rd century, the series follows the further adventures of the Starship USS Enterprise as it explores the galaxy.
The series was critically acclaimed and was the first Star Trek series to win an Emmy Award when its second season received the 1975 Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment for a Children's Series.
