This incredible 16-field limited edition cel was recreated from an original frame in the 1967 cartoon "The Most Dangerous Race". SPEED RACER was created by the Tatsunoko Studios in Japan in 1965. It came to America in a dubbed version in 1967. A total of 52 episodes were created. This cel is hand-painted and hand-inked, and bears the official SPEED RACER ENTERPRISES, INC. seal in the lower corner.
This cel is signed in Japanese by Ippei Kuri, the Key Animator/Director for the classic Speed Racer cartoons.
This limited edition is RARE and has been SOLD-OUT for over two decades, as it was released way back in 1993. It was produced in a small edition of only 125 pieces in the world, which were hand-numbered.
This is a rare artist proof numbered 17 out of 20 pieces, and is accompanied by the official certificate of authenticity.
