We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic seventh season episode "Lisa the Vegetarian" (1995).

Apu takes Lisa up a set of stairs in the Kwik-E-Mart, revealing a lush rooftop oasis. Apu tells Lisa that this is where he finds refuge from the modern world, and explains that it is not easy being a vegetarian. Lisa: "When will all those fools learn that you can be perfectly healthy simply eating vegetables, fruits, grains and cheese!" Apu: "Oh, cheese!" Lisa: "You don't eat cheese, Apu?" Apu: "No I don't eat any food that comes from an animal”.

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 19:56 mark. Both characters are hand-painted onto separate cels and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Lisa the Vegetarian" is the fifth episode of the seventh season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on October 15th, 1995. In the episode, Lisa decides to stop eating meat after bonding with a lamb at a petting zoo. Her schoolmates and family members ridicule her for her beliefs, but with the help of Apu as well as Paul and Linda McCartney, she commits to vegetarianism.
