We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this outstanding original production drawing featuring Homer Simpson from the classic thirteenth season episode "Jaws Wired Shut" (2002).
The Simpsons go to the Springfield Googolplex Theatres, where Homer buys four tickets for "Shenani-Goats”. The movie is preceded by a seemingly endless run of previews and advertisements, which angers everyone in the theater. Homer screams and jumps up in front of the screen and chants, "Start the movie! Start the movie!" The rest of the audience quickly joins in, to the concern of the ushers. The ushers beat Homer with giant Kit Kats and chase him out of the theatre, he then runs into the fist of a newly built golden statue of Drederick Tatum during the chase, breaking his jaw.
This is an original 12 field 3-peghole animation drawing, rendered in graphite and coloured pencil, featuring Homer. The paper bears a gold Fox seal in the lower corner and is accompanied with a studio-issued COA.
We have provided a screenshot of the scene to show how the drawing was used in the making of this episode, which appears on screen around the 04:26 mark.
PLEASE NOTE:
This screenshot shown is for reference ONLY, and the drawing is NOT accompanied with any full size colour print out.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Jaws Wired Shut" is the ninth episode of The Simpsons' thirteenth season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on January 27th, 2002.
In the episode, Homer gets his jaw injured by running into the fist of Drederick Tatum's statue. As a result, Homer's jaw is wired shut, making him unable to speak. Initially, Marge enjoys Homer's inability to talk, as it makes him a better listener and a more compassionate person. However, when Homer's jaw is finally healed, Marge starts to miss his earlier, wilder personality.
