Comic Mint is pleased to offer original artwork from the classic American comic book series Archie Comics, which stars a teenage boy named Archie Andrews. It debuted in Pep Comics #22, 1941 by Bob Montana. By the mid-1950s the cast included Archie’s Love Triangle of Betty and Veronica, and friends Jughead and Reggie.

COMMENTS
Al Hartley PEP #223 Complete 6-Page Story (Archie, 1968). 
This story features Betty and Veronica going fishing for a boy... Archie! But soon swordfish they haddock, as they did not have a whale of a time!
This complete story is superbly pencilled by Al Hartley, produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15" inches. The B&V logo is a stat paste-up. There is glue residue and an abrasion on the first page. Some pages have a small rip in the upper left and/or a marginal corner ripped off. The pages are production hole-punched in the top and bottom margins as well. Otherwise In Excellent condition.

JOE EDWARDS
Joe Edwards (December 6, 1921 – February 8, 2007) was an American comic book artist best known for creating Archie Comics' mischievous little-girl character Li'l Jinx while working in the industry for over 65 years. With the publication of the teen-humor title Archie Comics #1 that same year, Edwards would go on to illustrate many adventures of the popular Riverdale high-schoolers Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, as well, working on them as recently as the 1980s.
