Comic Mint, is pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this outstanding hand painted limited edition animation cel. This piece is hand-painted and hand-numbered, consisting of just 150 pieces and 25 artist's proofs, measuring 16" x 14 1/2" unframed, and features an amazing 68 characters and 40 props, which are hand-painted in 41 colors! After the release of "The Simpsons Sing the Blues" album in 1990, plans were made for a follow-up album to be called, THE YELLOW ALBUM. The cover artwork for that album was set in The Simpsons' living room. It parodies The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" LP. Years later, the art for the album was revised and reborn as one of the best and most in-demand Couch Gags ever, as featured in episodes such as (4F06) Lisa's Date With Density and (4F12) The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show. The cel has the FOX gold seal (lower right corner) and is accompanied by the Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity. The artwork is in pristine condition, SUPERB !!! |
