DAN DECARLO (1919-2001)
Dan DeCarlo is probably best known for his work on the Archie comics, since he worked on series like 'Betty and Veronica', 'Sabrina, The Teenage Witch' and 'Josie and the Pussycats'. DeCarlo also was the sketcher of some Marvel series such as 'Millie the Model', 'Willie Lumpkin the Mailma', 'The Mailman' with scripts by Stan Lee. Dan worked for Archie comics for more than 40 years, when he was fired by the company over a dispute about the credits. Dan DeCarlo is the main artist responsible for the Archie-style. He died of a heart attack at the age of 82.
